Director of Sales and Marketing

 

Fleetwood Continental, Inc. has been a leading manufacturer of water well pump components in California since 1975, and we are looking to expand the scope of our business.   We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual to overhaul and rebuild our sales team, spearhead new marketing programs, find new customers, and, of course, generate record corporate profits.  

 

Compensation:

Pay structure will be partially performance-driven. We offer a minimum guaranteed salary of $85,000 while getting established in the role, with built-in incentives to earn much more after commissions and bonuses. First-year earnings may exceed $100K+ upon achieving multiple “new customer” bonuses, quarterly tiered gross margin commissions across the entire sales department, and an annual Sales Director performance bonus.  Success in this position will provide a path to VP Sales/Marketing and eventually Chief Marketing Officer.

 

Requirements: (Please do not apply unless all of these things apply to you.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business and/or Marketing

  • 3 years’ experience in sales management in a manufacturing environment

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in the water well industry

  • Knowledge of ERP and CRM systems (ODOO a big plus)

  • Results-driven with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets

  • Past attendee of National Groundwater Week trade shows

  • Knowledge of the inner workings and installation of deep well turbine pumps

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English)

  • HTML, web design, architecture and hosting

  • Photoshop/graphic design skills

  • Strong leadership and team management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to travel as needed

  • Success at implementing new marketing strategies

  • A track record of leading and staffing an effective sales team, and initiating new sales programs

 

Preferences: 

  • MBA

  • Knowledge of agriculture in the US, Mexico, Central and South America

  • Knowledge of shipping, logistics and international freight forwarding

  • IT Skills, Advanced computer skills

The key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand our customer base and market presence, generating repeat business and revenue

  • Scout for new clients worldwide

  • Build and manage strong customer relationships

  • Drive revenue growth, expand market share, and ensure our customers’ satisfaction

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers, address their needs, and provide excellent service.

  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of our product offerings, analyze industry trends, and effectively communicate product information to clients

  • Develop and implement sales strategies, pricing models, and promotional campaigns to drive sales growth

  • Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor analysis to better inform executive decision making

  • Develop marketing strategies, including targeted print/web advertisements
